Dissertation: I. Studies on the energy metabolism of volatile fatty acids (VFA). II. The effect of infusion of glucose, casein and both mixtures into abomasum on efficiency of VFA energy utilization in beef cattle.

Working experience

Sept., 1987-Nov., 1989. Dairy farm technician in Xin Jiang Hutubi Dairy Farm, Duties:
· Analyzed nutritive value of feed and formulated ration
· Made annual plans of milk production and feed supply
· Directed the rearing of calves and the fattening of beef
· Supervised the milk quality (milk hygiene, milk fat and protein contents)

Dec., 1989-Aug., 1990. Manager of Xin Jiang Hutubi Cattle Farm, Responsible for technique, Major responsibilities:
· Directed six technicians and four milking barns with 350 cows
· Planned the arrangement of workforce and trained dairy farm workers
· Supervised the quality of milk and feed

Sept., 1996-2003. Assistant professor in China Agricultural University.

Nov.,2003- present. Professor in China Agricultural University.

Laboratory and Research Experience:

Training Experience:
·Received one month training courses of Dairy Farming from Jan.-Feb.2001 at IAC (International Agricultural Center) in the Netherlands.
·Visited Canadian dairy farms and feedlots two times in 2000,studied farm management, feed and feeding system ,product quality control system and technical service and extension.
· Took part in the emerging markets program from July 9,2002 to 15th ,2002 organized by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater college of business and economics in conjunction with The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture,Trade and Consumer Protection.
· worked with LEAD (Livestock and Environment Development Initiative) of FAO in Rome in August 2002 for the project of “Establishment of Chinese Language Platform of LEAD”.
· attended Sino-Australia Dairy and Research Development Forum in 2003,and made a speech of “sustainable development of China dairy industry”.
· participated in short courses of dairy farming delivered by Babcock Institute for International Dairy Research and Development University of Wisconsin-Madison, and visited the World Dairy Expo in the year of 2004.
· Visited North European Countries such as Finland, Sweden, Denmark in the year of 2006 for the School Milk Program;
· Studied in University of Wisconsin-Madison in December 2006.

Research Experience:
. From 2006 to present in charge of the National Dairy Genetic Improvement and High-yielding Dairy Cow Rearing project.
·From 2003 to 2006 Doing the research of National project “High producing dairy cow energy and trace minerals requirement of Chinese Holstein”organized by Ministry of Science and Technology.
·From 2003 to present as a research leader working with “Beijing Sanyuan Food LTD.”for the demonstration project of “ the extension and demonstration of integrated science and technology of dairy farming in the northern urban city”.
·From 2001 to 2003 Involving the project of “the mechanisms of small peptides
digestion, absorption and utilization in ruminants.” supported by National Natural Science Fund Committee.

From 1999 to 2001.7 Research leader of ALA/CHN/95/17-EU-China Technical and Commercial Co-operation on the Dairy and Food Processing Sector, Research Programme No.1 Dairy Farming System.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
The deputy-secretary of The Association of China Cattle Science, responsible for the nationwide academic activities , training in cattle farming of highly qualified personnel from all parts of China, extension and services for the cattle farming.
The coordinator of Chinese –Israeli International Center for Training Agriculture(CIICTA), Duties: organization of international seminars and workshops in dairy science and technology, demonstration and popularization of advanced agricultural technologies from both domestic and abroad.
Consultant of National School Milk Program, exporter of National Semen Subsidies Project, Senior Scientist of National Dairy Industry Technology System.
The consultant of Beijing Municipal Government for the development of cattle production.
