John A. Noble is President of Noblehurst Farms, Inc. a multi-family farm corporation with 20 shareholders. This six generation farm works 1,000 hectars of corn, alfalfa and wheat and milks 1,700 cows in Western New York. In 1997 Noblehurst formed a company to provide management and talent to other large dairy farms.

Linwood Management Group currently manages 9 other dairies with a combined total of 15,000 dairy cows in New York and Wisconsin. Mr. Noble’s responsibilities involve serving as general manager to 3 of these dairies, ranging from 1,500 to 2,200 cows and 3,600 hectars of forage crops.

John graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York USA with a BS degree in 1976. He serves on the Cornell University Board of Trustees and the Advisory Council for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University.

John is a board member of the New York State Agricultural Society and is a past member of the New York State Advisory Council on Agriculture.

John is the Chairman of the Erie and Niagara Insurance Cooperative and the Chair of the Small Business and Agriculture Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

John served on the National Dairy Herd Improvement Association Board of Directors and received the organization’s H. Victor Joachim Distinguished Leadership Award in 1994.

Mr. Noble has consulted with numerous dairies both nationally and internationally on basic husbandry and large herd management.
