Hans Siemes (58) is a freelance journalist in The Netherlands.
He is working for several agricultural magazines like

  • Farmers magazine Boerderij;
  • Veepro Magazine, an international magazine for export of Dutch cattle, semen and embryo’s;
  • Carrière+ a magazine for graduated students of the agricultural high school;
  • Inzicht, a nature magazine.
  • He is publisher and editor of a country life magazine Naober.

Before he became a freelance journalist he worked with Boerderij, a farmers union, the Dutch dairy industry, and a daily newspaper.  

He has published several books on Swine Fever, Food and Mouth disease, a biography of former minister Braks and historical books about agriculture and farmers organizations.

Hans Siemes is president of the Dutch Guild of Agricultural Journalists and executive of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists.
