- As stated by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, warming of the climate system is unequivocal. This statement is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, wide scale melting of snow and ice and rising global average sea level.
- In addition, changes in climate are projected to continue with implications for all, including the need to respond to those implications.
- This presentation explores these observed and projected changes for the five highlighted farm locations under discussion at this IDF Summit.
- It concludes by looking at the need for effective responses that target existing and projected vulnerabilities and that will also reduce the amount and rate of future changes.
